West Linn-Wilsonville is facing severe budget challenges, and Christi believes there must be accountability for how we got here and a vision for a stronger future. As a board member, she will push for policies that prioritize student achievement, financial responsibility, and long-term planning:
• Student-Centered Budgeting – Identify what’s working
in our district and align budget decisions to maximize student success.
• Responsible Administrative Spending – Cap central
district administrative costs to ensure more funding goes directly to
classrooms and student resources.
• Long-Term Financial Planning – Develop a five-year
budget outlook to increase fiscal stability and transparency.
• Accountability for Past Budget Decisions – Conduct a
full review of spending to ensure past financial choices are clearly understood
and addressed.
• Clear School Opening & Closure Policies –
Establish a structured, community-driven process for school openings and
potential closures.
• Expand Revenue Opportunities – Increase funding
through school-level enrollment task forces, grants, and community partnerships
to strengthen financial sustainability.
By working together on these priorities, Christi believes
the district can move forward with fiscal responsibility, transparency, and
student-focused decision-making.
