Christi has 10 years experience in a profession that is centered on listening, building trust, and understanding the diverse perspectives of the community. Her work as a stylist has given her deep insight into the concerns of local families, making her uniquely equipped to ensure that all voices are heard in school district decisions.
As Vice President of Membership on the Board of the Oswego Playschool, Christi served as a collaborative leader in early childhood education. She fostered an environment for parents and educators to work together and create a nurturing and enriching learning environment. In this role, Christi was responsible for community outreach and enrollment. She led school tours, hosted open houses, and represented the school at fairs and farmers markets to engage prospective families. She also streamed the enrollment and administrative processes using Jovial software. Additionally, she coordinated incoming parents to help maintain the cooperative structure. This role gave Christi firsthand insight into the power of family engagement in education and the impact of community-driven learning models, values she will bring to the school board to ensure families have a voice in district decisions.
Christi and her family moved to West Linn during the pandemic, drawn to the district’s reputation for strong schools and engaged communities. She is committed to ensuring that all children in the district have access to the high-quality education they deserve. Christi is the mother of a first grader in the Mandarin Dual-Language program at Bolton Primary, and she resides in West Linn with her husband and black cat Binx.
I believe in strong neighborhood schools that reflect the needs of their communities.
- I believe in high academic standards and ensuring every child has access to the resources they need to succeed.
- This election isn’t about me. It’s about what kind of district we want to build for our children—one where families and teachers have a voice, where schools are thriving, and where every child has the opportunity to succeed. If you believe in a stronger, smarter, and more sustainable future for our schools, I’m asking for your vote. Let’s get to work!
